Wednesday, July 17th

We started our first day of wine touring in the South Okanagan area by visiting some incredible wineries. Our first stop was Moraine Estate Winery at 1865 Naramata Road, where we had the pleasure of meeting the winemaker, Amber, during the Kelowna Polo event. Next, we visited Da Silva Vineyards & Winery at 375 Upper Bench Road North, where we learned about the family’s inspiring journey immigrating from Portugal. For lunch, we stopped at Upper Bench Winery at 170 Upper Bench Road South, enjoying a tasting and picking up some delicious cheese. After a day of exploring, we headed to Tucelnuit RV Park to pitch our tent beside Marilyn and Kerry’s RV. Despite the intense heat, we were grateful to have a fan in the tent to keep us cool.

Thursday, July 18th

On the second day of our wine touring adventure, we began with a visit to Checkmate Winery at 4799 Wild Rose Street in Oliver, where we admired the beautiful setting and exceptional wines. For lunch, we dined at Terrafina Restaurant at Hester Creek, located at 877 Road 8, enjoying a delicious meal surrounded by picturesque vineyards. Next, we stopped at Road 13 Winery at 799 Ponderosa Road, where the charming atmosphere and excellent wines made it a memorable experience. We concluded the day with a visit to Bartier Brothers, wrapping up another fantastic day of exploring the South Okanagan’s wineries.

Friday, July 19th

On our final day of wine touring, we started with a visit to River Stone Estate Winery at 143 Buchanan Drive, where we enjoyed their warm hospitality and lovely wines. Next, we headed to French Door Estate Winery at 5462 Black Sage Road for a tasting and a delightful lunch (we brought charcuterie along) amidst stunning vineyard views. Our last stop was Red Barn Winery at 4305 Black Sage Road, where we soaked in the rustic charm and savored their exceptional offerings, bringing a perfect end to our South Okanagan wine tour.

And that’s a wrap! We headed home to take a break from wine tasting, while Marilyn and Kerry stayed at the RV park as they were expecting a visit from Kerry’s brother.
