Cabri Food & Wine Festival Relocated!!!

July 16 and 17, 2023

Dave and Liz arrive from Saskatchewan for a wine celebration in the Okanagan. The next day we grab the rental and Joe, Shelley, Dave, Liz and us all head south to Naramata to Lake Breeze winery, then wineries Pentage and Blasted Church and eventually on to Tinhorn winery where we are staying at the guesthouse.

The next day July 18 we continue on our little adventure of wineries. Fairview, Burrowing Owl and Gold Hill. At Gold Hill we do a special tasting of Cabernet Francs with the winemaker Val. We compare a Cab Franc of Gold Hills to a Cab France from Queylus winery in the Niagara region. That was interesting. After that it is cocktail time by the pool at the guest house followed by steak dinner.

July 19 Another day and another day of wine tasting. Culmina, Checkmate, Nighthawk for lunch and Tinhorn for supper.

July 20th concludes our wine tour but not our wine drinking. We check out and head back to Kelowna for lunch at the Cactus club which is always a fun time. Dave and Liz catch their flight late afternoon and the rest of us go to our respective homes to recuperate. Cheers!
